One Thing At A Time
The irony in being overwhelmed is that it’s cyclical and you get overwhelmed, which makes it hard to get things done, which in turn makes you more overwhelmed. I get overwhelmed a lot. It’s not because I can’t handle things, it’s because I’m always working on so many things. I’m constantly switching gears and planning projects weeks or months out. I think being overwhelmed is also a side-effect of freelancing. The notorious ebb (more like barren desert) and flow (more like volcanic lava) makes things feel kind of crazy at all times.
On top of this really great freelance gig I have that’s taking up a lot of time, I’m working on redesigning (and completely restructuring) this blog. It’s been lots of long nights dreaming up a real concept and honing in on what I want to express and how I want to give that to you.
I’ve also been trying to get my home in order and dream up a portfolio and get ready for all the wedding photography I am doing. Basically, it’s just been nuts.
But I find that if I just focus on one thing and not let my mind wander, it all gets done… somehow.
