All cities have color profiles in my mind. For instance, Paris is red and dark grey and eggshell and soft pink. Amsterdam is black and cool brown and yellow. Salt Lake City (where I am currently at) is light blue, light grey, taupey brown and snow white. I really like this picture of a coffee shop in San Francisco, because it’s got all of the colors I equate with that city in it – greens, yellows, reds, blacks.
I’ve never actually been to Hollow Cafe SF, but it’s on my list for the next time I make it to the city. It looks so quaint and delicate, which is a nice change of pace for a city full of sleek and efficient.
I would totally live in San Francisco if I could. It’s kind of been a dream of mine to find a good tech job and plant myself out there for a few years. I like that it’s a large city like New York, but it has a soft-around-the-edges thing kind of going for it.
